What is a USI & why do I need one?

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) provides you with a portal in which your vocational education academic outcomes are recorded.

Under legislation from 1st January 2015, all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) will require all students to have a verified USI before a statement of attainment or qualification can be issued.

For more information feel free to contact us or visit the USI website:

How to apply for a USI:
1. You can apply for yourself on usi.gov.au which is available to anyone.
It is important that you activate your USI before the course!
OR
Triple A First Aid can apply for a USI on your behalf
2. If you would like Triple A First Aid to apply for a USI on your behalf, you will need to bring identification as per below and complete the USI request form.

Please Note:

If you choose to apply through the student portal or Triple A First Aid apply on your behalf, you will be contacted via your preferred method and asked to activate the USI you have been provided with. Until your USI is activated Triple A First Aid will be unable to add it to your student record.

Original ID must be sighted and a clear readable copy provided if Rich River First Aid will be applying for this on your behalf

In addition to the information provided we will use your DOB, gender and residential address to complete the USI application. These details will be taken as they appear on your enrolment form
